The Scene | de Cacaofabriek

In het voorprogramma van The Scene stond Lars van Bokhoven. Hij wist het publiek goed op te warmen met zijn gevatte toespelingen en humor. Een van de eerste nummers die The Scene speelde was Blauw, met heel toepasselijk blauw licht. Blauw is een favoriet nummer van mij. De sfeer was geweldig en vanuit het balkon deed de discobol ook nog mee. 
Het was ongeveer een half jaar geleden dat ik voor het laatst een concert fotografeerde. Niet bewust, maar soms gaan dingen zoals ze lopen. Het was weer fijn om de sfeer van live muziek te mogen vastleggen. The Scene zag (en hoorde) ik voor het eerst op Pinkpop 2014.

About the photos:

Lars van Bokhoven was the support act for The Scene. He did a wonderful task of warming up the crowd with his clever remarks and humour. One of the first songs The Scene played was ‘Blauw’, accompanied, quite perfectly, by blue lighting. ‘Blauw’ is one of my favourite songs. The atmosphere was brilliant, and from the balcony, the disco ball was adding to the fun too.
It had been about half a year since I last photographed a concert. Not on purpose, but sometimes things just happen that way. It was lovely to be able to capture the atmosphere of live music again. I saw (and heard) The Scene for the first time at Pinkpop 2014.
