Hej! Augustus
zaterdag 1 augustus | Een dagje dwalen in museum de Pont in Tilburg. In een donkere zaal, trok het licht en de silhouetten die de zaal verlieten. Het lijnenspel in de diversiteit aan stoelen in de ruimte, samen vormen ze een geheel met de witte koorden die ze verbind. Het lijnenspel zie je ook weer terug aan de muur in het Café.
saturday 1 august | A day spent wandering in Museum de Pont in Tilburg. In a dark room, the light drew out the silhouettes as they left the room. The interplay of lines in the variety of chairs in the space, together with the white cords connecting them, forms a unified whole. This interplay of lines is also reflected on the wall in the café.
zaterdag 8 augustus | Nog meer lijnenspellen in het Weverijmuseum in Geldrop. De armbandjes die geweven werden in een mooie kleurcombinatie en het zonlicht dat het oude pand binnenvalt op een van de weefgetouwen.
saturday 8 august | More patterns at the Weverijmuseum in Geldrop. The bracelets woven in a lovely colour combination and the sunlight streaming into the old building, falling on one of the looms.
woensdag 12 augustus | Ik ben in de avond naar een weiland in Aarle-Rixtel gereden om de zonsverduistering te zien en de fotograferen. Het was een fijne sfeer in het weiland met het veranderende licht van de zon. Ook nadat de zonsverduistering voorbij was hing er een bijzondere gloed in de lucht.
wednesday 12 august | In the evening, I drove to a field in Aarle-Rixtel to watch and photograph the solar eclipse. There was a lovely atmosphere in the field as the light from the sun changed. Even after the solar eclipse was over, there was a special glow in the air.
donderdag 20 augustus | In de avond was ik in Mierlo, toen de lucht dichttrok met zowel hele donkere wolken als hele lichte wolken. Op dit soort moment ben ik heel blij dat ik mijn ‘oude cameraatje’ in mijn tas gestopt heb.
thursday 20 august | I was in Mierlo in the evening when the sky became overcast with a mix of very dark and very light clouds. At times like this, I’m really glad I’d popped my ‘old little camera’ into my bag.
dinsdag 25 augustus | Het is een soort traditie geworden; rond mijn verjaardag op 28 augustus maak ik een zelfportret. En hoewel ik dit al wat jaren doe, blijf ik zelf op de foto gaan toch iets lastigs vinden.
tuesday 25 august | It’s become something of a tradition; around my birthday on 28 August, I take a self-portrait. And although I’ve been doing this for a few years now, I still find it a bit uncomfortable to be in the photo myself.
