Kalmar Slott: De dag begon ik met een bezoek aan het mooie kasteel, Kalmar Slott. Ik dwaalde door het nog bijna lege kasteel. De lentezon scheen prachtig binnen door de grote kasteel ramen en creëerde heerlijke schaduwen. Het spinnewiel naast de kachel. Een prachtige plafondschildering en de imposante Gyllene salen met een magische plafond, het is een mooi kunstwerk.

Kalmar Castle: I began the day with a visit to the beautiful Kalmar Castle. I wandered through the castle, which was still almost empty. The spring sun shone beautifully through the large castle windows, casting lovely shadows. The spinning wheel next to the stove. A magnificent ceiling painting and the imposing Golden Hall with its magical ceiling – it is a beautiful work of art. 

Kalmar Stad: In de middag dwaalde ik door Kalmer, genoot ik van het lente-zonnetje en de mooie schaduwen. Ik lunchte heerlijk bij Kullzénska Cafeet, een tip van het hotel. De sfeer van dit restaurant, je gaat zo jaren terug in de tijd met prachtige oude kamertjes. Ik hou van deze sfeer.

Kalmar City: In the afternoon, I wandered through Kalmar, enjoying the spring sunshine and the lovely shadows. I had a lovely lunch at Kullzénska Cafeet, a recommendation from the hotel. The atmosphere in this restaurant takes you right back in time, with its beautiful old rooms. I love this atmosphere. 

Kalmar Domkyrka: De Domkyrka is met zijn oranje buitenkant niet te missen. Een prachtige kerk. In de kerk is het licht en aan de muren hangen houten grafpanelen. Ook dit zijn prachtige objecten om te zien.

Kalmar Cathedral: With its orange exterior, the cathedral is impossible to miss. It is a beautiful church. The interior is light and airy, and the walls are adorned with wooden tomb panels. These, too, are wonderful to see.
