Winter in de Stiphoutse bossen

In de nacht had het stevig gevroren. De ijskristallen creëerde randen om bladeren en het bedekte takken met een mooie laag. Aan de rand van het ven staat het gras in het water, of ja, nu in het ijs. Het ijs was helder en dat geeft mooie doorkijkjes. Het gras dat boven het ijs uit kwam had een soort haar van ijs aan zich. Ik nam mijn macrolens mee. De vorst in combinatie met de zon geeft mooie kleurspelingen.

About the photos:

It had frozen hard during the night. The ice crystals formed rims around the leaves and covered the branches with a beautiful layer. At the edge of the pond, the grass stands in the water – or rather, in the ice now. The ice was clear, offering lovely views through it. The grass protruding above the ice was covered in a sort of icy hair. I brought my macro lens with me. The frost, combined with the sun, creates beautiful plays of colour.
