Teylers Museum | Haarlem

Vroeg vertrokken met de trein richting Haarlem. De dag begon met een bezoek aan Teylers Museum. Een museum vol oudheden, mooie tegels op de vloer en prachtig behang tegen de muur. Echt een museum om heerlijk in te verdwalen, met achter de gesloten deuren een oude bibliotheek. Die ik graag nog eens wil zien. Tijdens mij bezoek stond er een astronaut gemaakt van stoffen. De prints deden mij denken aan Vlisco-stoffen.

Na het bezoek aan Teylers Museum, dwaalde ik nog even door de stad. Het standbeeld bij de Grote Sint Bavo kerk trok mij aandacht. Ook het contrast in de laatste foto, de moderne trein in een oud en historisch station.

About the photos:

I left early by train for Haarlem. The day began with a visit to Teylers Museum. A museum full of antiquities, beautiful tiles on the floor and stunning wallpaper on the walls. Truly a museum to get lost in, with an old library behind closed doors. I would love to see that sometime. During my visit, there was an astronaut made of fabric. The prints reminded me of Vlisco fabrics.

After visiting Teylers Museum, I wandered around the city for a while. The statue near St. Bavo’s Cathedral caught my attention. I also liked the contrast in the last photo, with the modern train in an old and historic station.
