Sverige | Borgholms Slott
Al vroeg in de ochtend was ik weer terug op Öland. Voordat het kasteel opende heb ik een fijne wandeling gemaakt in de omgeving. Het was genieten van de mooie uitzichten en wolkenpartijen.
Early in the morning I was back on Öland. Before the castle opened, I took a nice walk in the countryside. It was enjoying the beautiful views and clouds.
Borgholms Slott is grotendeels een ruïne, door een brand in 1809. Een klein gedeelte is binnen, hier lees je over de geschiedenis van het kasteel. Het zonlicht wat door de ramen viel en tussen de slingers blijft voor mij fascinerend. Ik heb echt uren door de ruïne gedwaald, nagenoeg overal mag je komen. De natuur vind zijn weg in de ruïne, de vele vogels die er ‘wonen’ en de uitzichten zijn adembenemend.
Borgholms Slott is largely a ruin, due to a fire in 1809. A small part is inside, where you can read about the castle’s history. The sunlight that fell through the windows and between the garlands remains fascinating to me. I really spent hours wandering through the ruins, almost everywhere you are allowed to go. Nature finds its way into the ruin, the many birds “living” there and the views are breathtaking.
Na het bezoek aan Borgholms Slott heb ik een bezoek gebracht aan het stadje Borgholm. De prachtige gekleurde gebouwen en huizen, vooral Borgholms Kyrkan trok mijn aandacht. Tegen de avond heb ik genoten van het mooie zonlicht in de haven.
After visiting Borgholms Slott, I took a visit to the small town of Borgholm. The beautifully coloured buildings and houses, especially Borgholms Kyrkan caught my attention. Towards evening, I enjoyed the beautiful sunlight in the harbour.

Onderweg terug naar mijn hotel zag ik dat de zon prachtig onderging. Met een kleine omweg ben ik terug gereden naar Borgholms Slott om te genieten van het kleuren spektakel van deze zonsondergang.

About the photos:
On the way back to my hotel, I saw that the sun was setting beautifully. With a little diversions, I drove back to Borgholms Slott to enjoy the colour spectacle of this sunset.
