Bluesroute Helmond

Wat was het een prachtig en goed bezocht weekend. Het is mooi om te ervaren hoe live muziek mensen verbind, zeker in een tijd als deze. Op diverse locaties in Helmond speelde er bandjes bluesmuziek. Dit jaar heb ik gefotografeerd als huisfotograaf voor het Muziekcafé. Op zondag ben ik ook door de stad gelopen. Het hoogtepunt was voor mij het Elijah gospelkoor in de St. Lambertuskerk. De kerk meer dan vol, het prachtige zonlicht door de mooie glas in lood ramen en de sfeer, onbeschrijfelijk!

About the photos:

What a wonderful and well attended weekend it was. It’s nice to experience how live music connects people, especially in a time like this. At various locations in Helmond bands played blues music. This year I photographed as the house photographer for the Muziekcafé. On Sunday I also walked through the city. The highlight for me was the Elijah gospel choir in the St. Lambertuskerk. The church more than full, the beautiful sunlight through the beautiful stained glass windows and the atmosphere, indescribable!
