Het was donderdagavond weer genieten van Belgische muziek en biertjes. Met de mooie kleine verhalen uit een alternatief kleurrijk universum. Dit alle samen met verborgen geluiden. De teksten zijn mysterieus en tegelijkertijd bieden ze ook herkenning. De onderstaande tekst raakte mij meteen.

Wild in het bos | ‘t Groot Goor

Over de foto’s:

Het is niet vaak dat ik twijfel of mijn camera wel of niet mee gaat. Maar deze ochtend heb ik getwijfeld en uiteindelijk besloten om toch maar met camera te gaan wandelen. Al snel werd mijn aandacht getrokken door een wegspringende ree. Er bleken er drie in totaal te zijn, waarvan er een rustig bij ging liggen. Het was weer een mooie winterse ochtend met de ijskristallen aan de bladeren.

It is not often that I hesitate whether to bring my camera or not. But this morning I hesitated and finally decided to go for a walk with camera after all. Soon my attention was caught by a deer jumping away. There turned out to be three in total, one of which lay down quietly. It was another beautiful winter morning with the ice crystals on the leaves.

‘t Groot Goor | Helmond

Over de foto’s:

Deze ochtend begon ik de dag met een heerlijke wandeling door het Groot Goor. De eerste foto is gemaakt op een van mijn favoriete plekjes, met een prachtig opkomende zon en een mooie reflectie in het water. De laatste twee foto’s laten de mooie zijde van de ijskristallen zien.

This morning I started the day with a lovely walk through the Groot Goor. The first photo was taken at one of my favourite spots, with a beautiful rising sun and a beautiful reflection in the water. The last two photos show the beautiful side of the ice crystals.

Ragnar Kjartansson | de Pont

Over de foto’s:

De expositie van de IJslandse kunstenaar, Ragnar Kjartansson was zo divers. Van tekeningen, schilderijen tot een 360° muziek video. Het was zo inspirerend en indrukwekkend mooi om te zien. De foto’s zijn gemaakt bij Woman in E, een vrouw die continue de het E-mineur akkoord speelt op een elektrisch gitaar te midden van gouden slingers die het decor vormen. De lichtspot die de artieste uitlichtte, creëerde aan de buitenzijde een mooi schaduwspel.

About the photos:

The exhibition by Icelandic artist, Ragnar Kjartansson was so diverse. From drawings, paintings to a 360° music video. It was so inspiring and impressively beautiful to see. The photos were taken at Woman in E, a woman continuously playing the E minor chord on an electric guitar amid gold garlands that formed the backdrop. The light spotlighting the artist created a beautiful shadow play on the outside.

TextielMuseum Tilburg

Over de foto’s:

De tentoonstelling ‘Koninklijk Borduren’ trok mijn aandacht. Een prachtige inkijk in de oudheid van borduren. Een documentaire over het kiezen van kleuren had helemaal mijn interesse. Op de eerste foto’s een boek over borduren. De tweede foto zijn de klossen met garens in het Lab. De overige drie foto’s zijn gemaakt bij de oude weefmachines, waar het lichtinval een magische sfeer creëert.

The ‘Royal Embroidery’ exhibition caught my attention. A wonderful insight into the antiquity of embroidery. A documentary on choosing colours totally held my interest. In the first photos, a book on embroidery. The second picture is the bobbins of threads in the Lab. The other three photos were taken at the old weaving machines, where the light creates a magical atmosphere.

IJskristallen | Stiphoutse bossen

Over de foto’s:

Vanmorgen vroeg ben ik naar de Stiphoutse bossen gegaan om een heerlijke wandeling te maken. Het heeft vannacht tot -9 gevroren. Er zijn prachtige ijskristallen gevormd rondom de bladeren en op het gras. Met een zonnetje wat zo nu en dan door kwam was het heerlijk genieten.

Early this morning I went to the Stiphout woods for a lovely walk. It froze to -9 last night. Beautiful ice crystals formed around the leaves and on the grass. With a sun that came through every now and then, it was lovely to enjoy.

I took my analogue camera more to various castles in the Netherlands and in Denmark. Last summer, I took the analogue camera to the Wasven nature reserve. I continue to find the atmosphere in analogue photos surprisingly beautiful.

Onze kleding is een manier om uit te drukken wie wij zijn, wie wij willen zijn en soms wie wij moeten zijn. Wat vertelt deze tweede huid over ons? Een rij aan kleding, twee artiesten en een violist brengen een ode aan de kleurrijke en veelzijdige mens. Pan~//Catwalk opende de serie Under the Rainbow, een reeks over identiteit.

Miners of Muzo | Muziekcafé Helmond

Over de foto’s:

Miners of Muzo, opgericht in Tilburg en vernoemd naar mijnwerkers die in miserable toestanden moeten werken in Colombia. De muziek bevat invloeden van de sixties. Na een lange tussenstop is de band weer terug van weggeweest.

Bloemen uit eigen tuin | Madeliefjes

Over de foto’s:

De Brachycsome (roze) en de Felicia (blauwe) nog prachtig in bloei in de herfst. Met de regendruppels nog op de bladeren. Een mooie gelegenheid om deze bloemen nog vast te leggen. Volgende week wordt er flink vorst voorspeld, wat betekent dat het laatste zomergoed van dit jaar zal verdwijnen.

Tsar b | de Cacaofabriek

In de reeks van ‘Verzot op’ stond deze maand Tsar b op het podium. Samen met een muzikante die op de cello speelde, werd er een intense avond gecreëerd. Het was muisstil in de zaal en de mooie lichtshow maakte de avond af.

Vrouwenpolder | Zeeland

Over de foto’s:

Maandagochtend vroeg vertrokken naar zee. Hoe dichter ik bij zee kwam, hoe mistiger het werd. Het was bijzonder om te zien. Vanuit de duinen kon ik de zee niet zien en langs de kust kon ik de duinen niet zien. Het was een dag met veel extremen, van mistig, prachtige doorkomende zon naar een blauwe lucht en ineens was het grijs en koud. Ook een dag van grenzen op zoeken met bijna 30 kilometer over het strand gelopen te hebben.

I left for the sea early Monday morning. The closer I got to the sea, the foggier it got. It was special to see. From the dunes, I could not see the sea and along the coast I could not see the dunes. It was a day of many extremes, from misty, beautiful sun coming through to blue skies and suddenly it was grey and cold. Also a day of pushing limits with almost 30 kilometres of walking on the beach.
